Blog Reflection!

So far this class has been a new experience for sure! The freedom that comes along with a blog based class is great but nerve-racking all at the same time. Since the blog is public it adds a set of nerves that I had never experienced from an English class before yet makes me want to do the best I can and add my own touch to my writings and posts. My favorite thing about our personal blogs is looking at my peers and being able to get to know them in a sense and learning from their post as well because they are all unique. One thing I learned about blogs that I had no idea about is how widely used they are. When I saw the number of blogs that are published in a day, ill just say, my jaw dropped. I love to now be apart of that expanding number and get the chance to be apart of this great class!

As for reflecting on my own blog, it can always be worked on, but I do believe it meets the rubric criteria for the class. I always add many colorfully and relating pictures as well as proofreading my post and running them through Grammarly before I hit publish. The thing I struggle with is my time management skills and procrastination. I tend to tell myself "I'll get to it" or "I still have plenty of time" when in reality I do not. The blogs and what we have to do are very well explained and provided for us but it is myself who adds unnecessary stress onto my back.

In class, the only thing I would love to do is maybe start a GroupMe for the class and everyone is able to join if they please. This way it adds a way for all of us to connect and talk to each other for advice, similar to if we were in an in-person class. Because of COVID many students and classes are fully online and never truly meet their teachers or classmates except for the minimal screen time that is provided.
